Bio

Denise Agatep, LCSW is the Behavioral Health Director of the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Early Developmental Screening Program (EDSP), which serves pediatric patients 0-5.5 years old across the region by screening them for developmental delays and signs of autism and then triaging them to appropriate resources. Over the nearly ten years of her Kaiser career, Denise has also worked in other departments such as Child Psychiatry and the Regional Pediatric Developmental Coordination Program. Her extensive leadership experience includes managing programs that serve children and families in community mental health, such as those funded by FIRST 5, leading collaborations with school districts to provide school-based services, coordinating internship and training programs with local universities, and has provided high level supervision to treatment teams for children receiving autism treatment services.

Denise obtained her B.A. from UC Davis and her Master in Social Work from San Francisco State University. She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is a proud and active member of the API@KP Business Resource Group. Also, Denise is committed to contributing to her community and is a board member of the Devata Giving Circle, which focuses on providing grants to organizations that promote the advancement and rights of Cambodian women and girls. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family and enjoys spending time with her two daughters who are active Girl Scouts. When she is not helping them sell cookies, Denise enjoys running half and full marathons.
