Al Goshi currently serves as a senior manager in a Federal Government cabinet agency.
Prior to this, he served as a senior Army officer and attorney at the Department of Defense, Joint Staff, and Department of the Army. He provided expert legal advice, developed policy, and led hundreds of civilian and military personnel in conflict zones. He also served on multiple National Security Council specialty working groups. He is an expert in foreign government rule of law development, counterinsurgency, law enforcement, intelligence, and counterterrorism. He also served as a capital prosecutor and defense attorney.
Al has received military and civilian awards from the U.S. government, foreign governments, professional and international organizations, including the Combat Action Badge, Legion of Merit, State Department Meritorious Honor Award, Outstanding Army Judge Advocate Award, and the Labor Department Secretary’s Honor Award.
Al’s academic degrees include a B.S. in Engineering, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY; a J.D. cum laude, Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C.; and an LL.M., Judge Advocate General’s School, Charlottesville, VA. He graduated from the Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS.
