Angela Li

Bio

Angela Li is the Senior Director of Software Engineering for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Named to the role in January of 2026, she is responsible for the development, integration, and certification for all airborne software on Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In addition, her team is addressing technical debt and driving quality into Boeing products through tool modernization and automation. This role includes technical oversight of both internal and external software development.

Prior to her current role, Angela served as the Director of 737 MAX Development Airplane Systems. In addition, she has held various engineering and leadership positions within the Electronic Systems Design Center and on the 737 Program. She has played a role in the development of several aircraft models, including the 737 MAX, 747, VC-25B, KC-46, and 787.

Angela is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, where she received her B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering. She currently serves as the Boeing Executive Focal for the University of Washington’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and is a member of their Advisory Board. She also served as Enterprise President of the Boeing Asian and Pacific Association (BAPA).

In her spare time, Angela enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and playing competitive tennis.
